PianoDisc is happy to announce the release of the third in our Songbook Series, this one honoring the great singer songwriter John Denver.  The disc is titled John Denver Songbook (PD/CD/OP 2018) and can be found in the New Releases category of our Music Store.  

One of the world's best-known and best-loved performers, John Denver earned international acclaim as a songwriter, performer, actor, environmentalist and humanitarian. His career spanned nearly four decades and was marked by enormous success and countless awards and honors, including a Grammy, Emmy, Country Music Award as Entertainer of the Year, Top Male Vocalist of the Year from Billboard magazine, and a 1996 Induction into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame.  In 1993, he was awarded the prestigious Albert Schweitzer Music Award.  His music has been used in countless films and television shows, including such  diverse programs as "The Sopranos", "House", "Cold Case", "The Simpsons" and "American Dad".   In the '70's and '80's he hosted the Grammy Show five times, and eventually Denver got into acting.  His credits include the starring role in the film "Oh, God" opposite George Burns.
