New release! Roger Kellaway & Bruce Forman bring a mellow groove to PianoDisc
Jazz piano great joins jazz guitar great in magical new disc!
March 25, 2010

When a world class pianist plays with a world class guitarist the result is something very special to hear.  That's just what we have in our latest release, Artist Series: Roger Kellaway - Ballads - With Bruce Forman on Guitar (CD16017).

Roger, of course, is one of the world's greatest jazz pianists.  Critics regularly call him things like "the most awesome jazz pianist quite possibly anywhere on earth", and his work has earned him a Grammy, an Academy Award, and most recently the Prix du Jazz Classique (the French "Grammy").  He also wrote the closing theme of TV's "All In The Family", among a huge list of credits.

Bruce has been an important part of the international jazz scene for over three decades, playing on scores of recordings and playing in top venues. His brilliant solo guitar performance for the soundtrack of Clint Eastwood's film Million Dollar Baby
, helped earn it an Academy Award nomination for Best Score, and the award for Best Picture.

So you can see how the collaboration of these two consummate musicians
could only yield a brilliant disc.  In this case, the groove is mellow, the songs (all named for ladies, by the way) are classics, and the whole thing is...well... just plain great.  You can hear an Audio Preview, but it isn't nearly long enough.

Artist Series: Roger Kellaway - Ballads, With Bruce Forman, Guitar is Live Orchestrated CD16017 and also available for Opus.  See it in the New Releases category of our
Music Store.
